A successful operations with ARMAD, (Amateur Radio Military Appreciation Day). We placed the field station in operations together with the Huntsville finest Ham Radio Operators.
From your left to the right, yours truly, Will / W4WWM, Randy / KE4AHP, and Nate / KC4PBM. Mark / KC4OML was taking the pictures, we will have more, also James / KF4QYX was on site and tried his hand at VHF/UHF node contacts on the western reflector 9258, which is a IRLP and Echolink channel cross link. James also checked the conferences for activity and directing information when he made contacts.
We also had Karl, AI4PJ our distance control operator and his XYL (most likely XYL to become a Ham soon hi hi) helping by calling into the net and checking difference node conference for activity, his XYL, Theresa sent the information to the media about the ARMAD operations on site at Bill Heard.
The HF crew was Nate and Randy. They were burning up the net making contacts all over the place. When they finished they had 31 HF confirmed contacts.
James and I were operating on the VHF/UHF/6 meters (FM) all were tie into the two reflectors even though we got a late start we made 20 contacts. Mark keep us all on track letting us know when we miss a call are when one was coming in.m He kept us all in line. Hi Hi
